Seeing my son walk tonight for the first time was probably one of the most amazing experiences I've witnessed ... absolutely awesome and delightful!

Awesome! I'm guessing this is your first and you've recently had or are about to have his first birthday party. That's an experience in and of itself!
My second child was born June 2 of 2003 and he's on the verge of walking himself. He'll just stand there and smile at me for a moment as I encourage him to walk to me. Then he'll take a half of a step, and finally just lunge for my outstretched arms. *Sigh* :-)
